Jan Kñákal Císar  CEO

A former full-time translator and head of translation at the EXTRA Translation Agency  (Chicago, IL).

He is a former writer for the Chicago Tribune's Spanish weekly ¡Exito!, who  has extensive knowledge of the U.S. corporate environment and its requirements, knowledge gained while living for seven years in Chicago, IL.

While residing in Chile, his homeland, he was a writer and editor for six years at El Mercurio, the most prestigious daily newspaper in the country. He obtained a B.A. in Communications at the University of Chile, and studied Organizational Behavior at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and Psychology at Chicago's Carl G. Jung Institute.

As a writer, he produced many press releases and speeches for the Chilean Telephone Co., a former ITT subsidiary, published a book about the History of Tibet (Ed. Ercilla, Santiago de Chile) and wrote the chapter Historical Sources of Japanese Management Practices in the book Readings in Total Quality Management (Dryden Press, FL).  He is currently writing a book about Total Quality Management practices in Mexican companies.  He also provides training for Mexican companies on the subject.

In her former experience as an Air Traffic Controller and then Imports Manager for a Major Mexican Hospital, she learned about how to deal with pressure and what it takes to achieve client satisfaction.

 She has traveled extensively throughout the United States in order to perfect her English and cultural understanding.

 She is also an experienced translator, who has a keen mind when it comes to understanding the needs of our clients, and how to best implement what localization is all about - Quality and Deadlines.

 Jorge L. Gutiérrez - Senior Translator and Editor

 B.S. in Communication from Acatlan National School of Professional Studies. University of Miami International Journalism Scholarship, 1996. Former Editor of El Universal Mexican Newspaper and Style Editor for Nueva Editorial Interamericana (1990). Since 1995, he has translated and supervised numerous books for the Pearson Publishing House (formerly Prentice Hall Hispanoamericana) on Computing, Marketing, Religion and Psychology.  He is also a freelance translator for Scientific American and the New York Times since 1998.

 Virgilio González Pozo - Senior Translator and Editor

 Graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and also as a Translator from the Higher Institute of Translators and Interpreters (Instituto Superior de Intérpretes y Traductores) in Mexico City. He has translated more than 70 books for publishing houses such as McGraw-Hill Interamericana México and Prentice Hall, as well as more than 20 technical manuals for companies such as Mitsubishi, ABB, Interamerican Power & Light Corp., John Deere and AT&T.

 Jorge Berlín Acosta - Legal texts and Law Interpretation Adviser

Graduated as a Lawyer from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is a Legal Expert Translator, certified by the Mexican Government. He studied Translation at the Iberoamericana University where he currently teaches in a Program for Translators.

 Simon Critchley - Senior Translator and English Linguistic Consultant

Certificate in Communication Studies, CAM Foundation, London. Currently lives and works as a Professional Translator in Mexico City.

His former experience at British advertising agencies in London and his more than 6 years working as a Freelance Translator in Mexico has seasoned him to perform not only as a Translator but also as a Linguist.

He is an in-house translator for one of the Top 5 Accounting and Business Consulting Firms worldwide, based in Mexico City.
